Artist's Statement

“Geneva's task is to reflect an intuitive, experiential perception of Realities such as joy, mirth, wonder, aloneness, and mystery, pointing beyond herself. Small glimpses of Heaven, in an earthly landscape, are meant to transport the mind to the transcendent.

The Art Gallery of Alberta (Art Rental and Sales) has been representing Geneva since 1995.

2017, 2018 and 2019: Etchings were exhibited in AGA's "Art on the Block".

2014: Two Solo Shows and one Group Show at Concordia University College Library.

2010: Paintings and etchings in a Solo Show at Stony Plain Multicultural Heritage Centre Public Art Gallery.

1992: The painting, “ Cows”, was purchased by the University of Alberta Hospital Foundation for the collection of the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute.

Her Paintings and etchings reside in private collections in Canada, England, and the United States.

Geneva Moore, born in Austin, Texas, has resided in Edmonton since 1990. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with BFA (honours) in Studio Art in 1976 and exhibited often in various Texas art galleries (1978-83). While living in Cambridge, England (1983-89), she studied intaglio printmaking privately while also exhibiting seasonally in All Saints Garden. After moving to Edmonton, she studied intaglio with Ron Wigglesworth through the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension (1993-94). Independent work continued at the Society of Northern Alberta Printmakers (SNAP) in 2005 and thereafter up the present time in the non-toxic printmaking studio set up in her home.
